Project 1 - Packaging : Week 2

Studio Feedback - Tutor Scott

Concept 1 - Washing powder like a draw serving design, where the draw carries the serving into the washing machine. Scott's feedback believe washing powder are not a big problem for arthritis and carpal tunnel patients. He believed the existing spoon grip option is still a better solution

Concept 2 - Suction milk packaging, believe it to create more complications since it needs to be use at the edge of the table and the tap might not be a great gesture for the user.

Concept 3 - The per serving butter packaging is more consider to patients that needs a healthy food diet. Tutor believe there are a potential for this concept but the per serving butter will conduct more packaging waste.

Concept 1 - I liked the idea that it's a nice redesign for pain gels, and the roller will make it more easy to apply. But I have the doubts that it is already done on the market. And I'm not sure if the twist cap will solve the problem.
Concept 2 - It's a unique concept for patients that need to carry syringes out in public. Not 100% sure about the security of the bottle for child restraint.
Concept 3- The pill control concept is good the press and the hole to dispose the pill need to be size readjust. And medical users are usually in a older age group they might like the pill button and disposer more obvious.

All 3 concepts were on petfood, her direction thoughts this week were basic on reusing the packaging design, which might not be the thought of the users. Usually users would like to dispose the petfood packaging to avoid washing. I like the triangle and hexagon idea but it still in it's early stage if it's a solid concept. She might be able to work on portable petfood when users are travelling with their pets and the packaging will avoid mess.
