“Follow me” luggage
A future luggage design five years from now, which targets at high-end fashion journalist. The design itself uses an origami structure look to appeal the uniqueness of the luggage. It contains an edgy structure to capture people’s attention and representing the pride of its user. The choice of colour scheme is black and gold to keep its simplicity since the shape is already complicated, decide to incorporate since black presents maturity and gold represents supreme royalty. Where the target market contains wealth and class therefore this luggage would suit them perfectly. The opening of the luggage contains at “z” pattern that interrelates with the other family products with my team.
The special features for this 4-5 years futuristic design contains:
- · Bluetooth location detector – luggage stays within 1m safety zone
- · Wifi Charging system – Wifi chargers are becoming a common trend
- · Electromagnetic security doors – Provides a very strong protection barrier for the luggage, when an electronic current passes through the strip, it creates a stronger magnetic field as a lock.
- · Mobile control app / voice detection command control
- · Pull up handle for user to keep hold of their luggage in crowed places
- · The choice of material is also a mix strong plastic fibre that is harder to be damage against pressure.
Since it was a group project it needed to have a family relationship with the other peers products
