"Sense" PSS System Project

The Big Idea - “Sense”

The solution is combining the EEG system with the neuro-feedback medical therapy to allow people to have a balance between their mental and physical health. The system will be incorporated into fitness studios, because a training schedule is provided with a personal trainer and he/she can guide you through the training progress. The EEG headbands currently exist on the market; however they are designed for everyday use.  The design tend be inconvenient for those who wear it on the streets and those who use it in a daily manner may also develop reliance to the device.

The mind gym which is a section within the fitness training program allows users to interact and learn about the new EEG technology, but also about them. The sleek ergonomic design presents a futuristic feel to its user capturing their attention, while the features of the mindreading technology will leave them in utter amazement. With the PSS system, the fitness studio membership fee will cover all the costs of maintenance and use of Sense. The data collected from each training session will be uploaded to the user’s personal fitness profile where the data is compiled into graphs and allow the user to see their progress. The reason to have the PSS set in a fitness studio is to allow users to have their mental status regularly monitored and enable them to share their progress and issues with Personal Trainers and other users. This will allow them to have a better, more motivational experience with the product and to allow for the information gathered by Sense to be properly evaluated instead of the data being wasted. The system targets people who are health conscious, workers and others that live in a very stressful lifestyle. The solution is to allow people to participate and find a sense of stress relief before it develops into mental illness.

  1. Great concept! i think your product is really an innovation of the current EEG system, I have tried using EEg before and it involves so many cables around your head and it is not fun using it at all. I like your posters it is appealing, for improvement maybe you can make the size of it adjustable? other than that, well done!

  2. I think this is a good concept and if the technology ever does get developed more it would be a very useful pss at gyms. The design is well thought out and looks easy to use and wear. The model looks finished well. the only improvement i suggest is maybe the user interaction board could be a little less cluttered. Other then the design is awesome.

  3. I'm very happy to see that your idea turned out so well. I think that doing neuro training is excellent, to help keep the mind active and healthy. Incorporating into a fitness studio environment is great, because it allows people to experience an entire and fulfilled experience. The design is both sleek and non intrusive, which I think in that environment is key. I'm a bit confused about the user interaction board because I don't think it accurately or effectively shows off your idea. The models looks fantastic too!

  4. good concept. i think your product shape is elegant and professional. and also that story board is interesting. for suggestion. the technical drawing looks a little bit mess. maybe next time make the drawing into different line weight. other than that, your design is great!

  5. Nice work Ginny! Your PSS is unique and well thought out, the product looks very wearable and your model turned out beautiful! What I especially like is how you've made it adjustable too, making it economic and smart production wise. Like the other's, I'd also suggest stripping down your posters and making then less word-y, particularly the research one.
